AI Research Communities of Excellence 

Join our AI Research Communities of Excellence (AI RCoE) to connect with interdisciplinary faculty and drive convergent research. AI RCoE connects AI and data experts with domain researchers to generate proposals, position researchers for external funding, and advance responsible AI applications while addressing societal challenges.

The key areas of focus align with the strategic research initiatives of the Office of Research and Partnership:

  • AI-Driven Health Care Innovation
  • Promise of Fusion Energy
  • Future of Sustainable Mining and Critical Minerals
  • National Security in Space

AI RCoE Members receive regular notifications and invitations for upcoming AI RCoE activities. Members are expected to engage with at least one AI RCoE activity per semester.

AI Innovation Pilots

Transform your idea into a working prototype in just 8 weeks. We provide technical expertise, computing resources, and hands-on development to create proof-of-concept solutions for operational projects. Not for long-term research commitments.

AI Research Support & Proposal Development

Secure dedicated AI engineering support for funded research projects. This program provides consistent technical team members for grant proposals and research execution. Intended for externally funded work.

AI Research Accelerator

Accelerate your path to external funding with proof-of-concept development and expert collaboration. We help faculty and research staff generate preliminary results and competitive proposals each semester focused on actionable AI applications the go beyond data management.
