Effective AI and Course Assignment Communication mini-course

Whether you're only just now interested in exploring how GenAI tools might function in your class, or you've been requiring GenAI tool use in your assignments and activities, this course will help you effectively communicate those expectations and limitations to your students.

In this asynchronous, online, 5-day mini-course that runs (Jan 26-30 with an additional week built in for full completion), participants will craft their course AI policy and create assignment directions to clearly articulate AI use parameters.

By the end, you'll be able to:

• Understand and practice tenets of effective communication with students on the topic of AI tool use in your classes
• Make judgements about AI tool effectiveness for elements of your courses
• Develop your Course AI Policy from the template language developed by UCATT
• Generate assignment directions that can clearly articulate AI tool use parameters
